Categorising Mods, and Recommendations (2014-04-14)

It may be daunting to search through the list of mods, to find something you want to install. There are different types of mod, here's an attempt to categorise them. The 'Essential' category are things too important not to have, in my opinion. Some categories also have 'recommended' mods. This isn't to say the rest aren't good, rather the recommended ones are what I consider to be most applicable to a wider audience.

  1. Starter Mods, mods that those new to mod can use with ease
  2. Highly Recommended Mods
  3. Framework Mods, mods that act as libraries for other mods to use
  4. Functionality Mods, mods that add functionality
  5. Convenience Mods, mods that make it easier to do something
  6. Small Fix Mods, mods that fix, add or remove something
  7. Preference Mods, mods that customise the game
  8. Fun Mods
  9. Mods for Developers
